Case Study: Ours is a small business with only 9 staff but its busy and there is lots going on. We work hard and we always try to improve our efficiency as much as possible. I could see time being wasted by people not remembering to pass on phone messages and/or not taking the correct details so that the message recipient could quickly and easily deal with the message. At the time we were using Outlook exchange in the office but we couldn't find a form or create one that was quick and easy for taking phone messages. The alternative was to have a message pad pre-printed that people filled in - but the problem with that was that often the recipients were in the field, and they should really get the messages as soon as they are received rather than when they came back into the office, sometimes days later.

We searched the internet for solutions but couldn't find anything that would do the job - so we created AnyMessages. As we got further into the project we discovered that an online system has other benefits over and above the old hard copy message pads, such as the ability to search message history (either through email or through the system itself). We could also cater for people you could only receive texts remotely as well.

Anyway - what has happened in our business after we implemented AnyMessages? Well, phone messages take up much less time for everybody. We have set AnyMessages to automatically open in the browser for all staff (link to the instructions Adam) and so everybody is ready to take a proper, coherent message with all the relevant details as and when required. For a recipients perspective is great - whenever you see 'AnyMessages' in your inbox you immediately know that there is somebody waiting for you to call back, or there is a phone message to deal with. Somehow AnyMessages really stand out from the other emails and they are always one of the first emails I click on when I review my inbox. This means that we deal with all phone messages promptly - which enhances the service we provide to our clients.

We subsequently moved from Microsoft exchange to Google Apps and have never looked back - just as well we didn't find an Outlook solution hey!
